Climbing Kilimanjaro…

Hey, my love, well, it’s almost the new year, and I don’t know about you, but I do enjoy a fresh start, and 2026 definitely feels like it’s going to be different.
There’s an air of anticipation about it somehow. It feels like people are gathering momentum and preparing to make choices that may previously have seemed impossible, and I’m wondering if you’re feeling the same way.
Or if you’re not, hold onto your hat, as things may be different for you by the time you’ve read this blog!

Now I’m not one for New Year's resolutions, but I do find benefit in reflecting on past moments and evaluating my life, my behaviours, my beliefs, and my focus. Recently, I’ve been delving more deeply into this process, and it feels like a positive thing to share with you and an idea which may also develop in your mind.
So if you have a minute, maybe you could ask yourself these four questions and see what comes up for you:
Is there a pull in your heart to create a different kind of life?
Are you feeling inspired or tired?
Do you feel trapped by your routine or empowered by your freedom?
Does something consume your time that you’re ready to let go of?
Determining the answers to these questions has not only shifted my focus but also led me to discover a more straightforward truth about myself, and I’m hoping this exercise can offer you the same.
I’ve realised that I AM ready to create a different kind of life, that I have been feeling tired and even a little burnt out, that my daily routine is a form of trapped freedom, and that there is definitely a need to reclaim some time for creating new connections. I’ve also come to realise that I love a routine, but I’m excited by change, and I’d like to explore more of my creative abilities.
On the face of it, this insight seemed simple enough, but also a bit of a conundrum, and I did scratch my head for a while trying to figure out if I was autistic, bipolar or controlled by the clock!
After spending time contemplating my answers, my reasoning, and why I’ve been living the way I have, I've realised it's because structure helps me feel safe (important!), but I can use it as a method of control, which is obviously not healthy. Having an exciting reason to get out of bed in the morning makes me feel alive (also important!), but I can become work-obsessed and not take enough time for nourishing rest. I’m also beginning to understand that it’s up to me to manage my time more carefully and that this is both a discipline and a gift, and that finding some form of connection outside of my home is a must for 2026, as I’ve become a bit of a hermit since 2020.
So, to round up this internal investigation and to share my plans for 2026 with you, firstly, I’m not planning on making any major changes or organising a trip to climb Kilimanjaro (although never say never!), but I am looking to alter how I spend my time.
Alongside my passion work as a QHHT Practitioner and 1:1 Talk Therapist, I’ve now also volunteered as a reader in one of my dad’s previous care homes and as a helper at my local community cafe and theatre group. I’ve also just popped the battery for my posh camera on to charge, and I’m planning to start taking photos on longer dog walks to get my creative juices flowing (I’ll try not to bombard you with all of these!).
To reclaim some time, I’ve now created a space between myself and social media, giving me the extra hours that I’ve been yearning for. The social media thing was a controversial choice, and some might say a bad business decision, but for me, it feels right. I’ll share more about my thoughts around social media in future blogs, but right now all you need to know is that it’s all part of my 2026 “Plan for Joy!”
This new plan feels gentle; it feels free, it feels connected, it feels heart-led, and, most of all, it feels like a new, simpler phase of my life and a different way to express myself and my energy.
To support this idea of reevaluating life and to perhaps plant a few energetic seeds with you, too, here are some words from "Conversations with God - Book 1,” which really struck a chord with me recently and may instigate a new perspective for you as well:
What part of myself do I wish to experience now?
What aspect of being do I choose to call forth?
There is only one reason to do anything: as a statement to the Universe of WHO YOU ARE.
The soul, your soul, knows all there is to know all the time; nothing is unknown.
Yet knowing is not enough.
The soul seeks experience.
There is only one purpose for all of life, and that is for you and all that lives to experience fullest glory.
To seek to determine Who You Want To Be.
“To experience fullest glory!” - this statement gave me goosebumps when I read it, and it reminded me that we are all here on this planet at this time to take advantage of the good things in life. Yes, there is a lot of fear and unsettled feelings going around right now, but having free will is an absolute luxury and one which is our responsibility to use constructively, applying truth, joy and love to each waking moment.
Perhaps you could also contemplate the questions that I have been asking myself recently and find a new truth for your life ahead. Or maybe ask yourself one simple question - “Who do I want to be?”
Thanks for reading my love, and if you’re new to this blog, thanks for being here. I really hope my words inspire your plans for 2026, or, if not, that you enjoyed them. Here’s to a joyous, fun filled, simplified New Year!
I’m sending you all of my love as always, Georgina xxxx.

Happy 2026 to You Georgina! I like the idea of a joyous, fun filled and simplified year - thank you for this. I really enjoyed reading your first blog Xxx
